1.Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) – Brief

    A cutter suction dredger is a hydraulic dredger. It cuts soil or rock with a rotating cutter head. Then it pumps the slurry through a pipeline.

   CSD is the one of the best popular dredging machinery.  

   Full hydraulic automatic to drive the main equipment, such as cutter head; spud and all kinds of winch so on . Famous diesel engine brand from the abroad  (Cum mins, Weichai, Mitsubishi, etc) to provide the power for the whole dredger, such as sand pump, hydraulic oil pump, generator and water pump so on. All dredger is made by the marine steel can improve the dredger working life . Whole dredger use the Siemens PLC to control to reach the full automatic.

   Recently years cutter suction dredger is more and more used in all kinds dredging projects.

This Dredger is a Non-Self-Propelled Type, is can be towed by a tugboat, the tugboat can also transport persinnel, fuel, and supplies to the dredger; handle anchor for the dredger. If you want a Self-Propelled CSD, we can also equip the CSD with propellers.

1. What is the Water Flow you want?

2. What is the Dredging Depth you want? (The deeper the Dredging Depth, the larger the dredger.)

3. What is the Discharge Distance you want?

4. Which Diesel Engine brand do you prefer? (Such as, Cum min, Weichai, Mitsubishi, etc.)

5. Could you tell me the sand of your worksite is loose or firm, and if the sand contain a large amount of gravel?

( If the sand is loose, I recommend a Suction Dredger; if the sand is firm, you can choose the Cutter Suction Dredge; if the sand contain more than 30% gravel, the Bucket Chain Dredger is more suitable for you, because the gravel can damage the Cutter Head of CSD. )

6. Do you want Non-Self-Propelled or Self-Propelled? 

-*If the Cutter Suction Dredger is non-self-propelled, meaning it can't move long distances on its own. It can only move within a limited working range using its spud. Spud Carrier can also make the Cutter Suction Dredger move easily within working range by alternately stepping the spuds.

A Tug boat can:

1. Tow the dredger to and from the worksite. It can tow the CSD move long distances.

2. Handle Anchor for the dredger.

3. Transport personnel, fuel, and supplies to the dredger.

-*If the Cutter Suction Dredger is Self-propelled, it will propelled by propellers.
