Product Description

Cutter suction dredgers deliver high efficiency, strong reliability, and large production capacity. They integrate the entire dredging process - including excavation, transport, discharge, and sediment handling - in one continuous operation.

 

Equipped with a mud pump and suction system, these dredgers use a rotating cutter to loosen soil from the riverbed. The mud pump then draws the slurry through the suction pipe and discharges it via a discharge pipe - either to shore or into a barge for transport.

 

Most cutter suction dredgers are non-self-propelled and widely used in reclamation projects. They are ideal for excavating soft materials such as sandy soil and silt. Models equipped with toothed cutters can also handle harder materials like gravelly clay.

 

Commonly deployed in inland rivers, lakes, and coastal port construction, cutter suction dredgers are one of the most widely used types of dredgers today.

 

Feature	Description
Construction	The cutter suction dredger is manufactured with a steel structure, available in both non-self-propelled and self-propelled dismountable types. It can dock and dredge in any coastal areas and inland rivers.
Application	Suitable for excavating and transporting cohesive sediments of grade III and below as specified in the dredging construction technical specifications issued by the Ministry of Water Resources of the People's Republic of China.
Hull Structure	The dredger hull consists of a main pontoon and two side pontoons, which can be easily disassembled or assembled for transport by road, rail, or water, and reassembled at the project site.
Engine and Dredge Pump Placement	The engine and dredge pump are located in the central pontoon, while the two side pontoons serve as fuel tanks, ballast tanks, and storage rooms.
Power Source	Powered by diesel engines; the main diesel engine drives the dredge pump, and auxiliary engines drive the hydraulic system, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, anchor winches, and spud cylinders.
Control Room	The spacious control room is ergonomically designed, providing a 360-degree panoramic view. All operation buttons, switches, indicators, and gauges are installed on the control console. A single operator can control the entire dredger from the control room.
Anti-Corrosion Coating	The dredger is coated with four layers of marine paint to prevent corrosion. Zinc anodes can be used to provide enhanced anti-corrosion protection.

Portal Frame

Cabin

Cutter Suction Winch	Configuration: 2 sets of swing winches 1 set of lifting winch 2 sets of anchor booms All winches are used for lifting and swinging the cutter ladder.
