Product Description

Cutter suction dredgers deliver high efficiency, strong reliability, and large production capacity. They integrate the entire dredging process - including excavation, transport, discharge, and sediment handling - in one continuous operation.

 

Equipped with a mud pump and suction system, these dredgers use a rotating cutter to loosen soil from the riverbed. The mud pump then draws the slurry through the suction pipe and discharges it via a discharge pipe - either to shore or into a barge for transport.

 

Most cutter suction dredgers are non-self-propelled and widely used in reclamation projects. They are ideal for excavating soft materials such as sandy soil and silt. Models equipped with toothed cutters can also handle harder materials like gravelly clay.

 

Commonly deployed in inland rivers, lakes, and coastal port construction, cutter suction dredgers are one of the most widely used types of dredgers today.

•Cutter Head: The cutter head is one of the most core working parts of the cutter suction dredger. It plays the role of cutting and crushing the mud and rocks on the bottom of the water, mixing the mud and water, and then sucking out the mud-water mixture through the mud pump. It is discharged to the mud unloading site through the suction pipe, mud pump and mud discharge pipe inside the ship, thus completing the dredging operation.

•Portal Frame: The gantry of a cutter suction dredger plays a critical role in supporting the dredging operation, including the lifting and lowering of the cutter head, providing stability during excavation, suspending and moving the slurry piping, withstanding the forces generated by the cutter and water flow, and serving as a platform for operators to maintain and handle the equipment.

•Crane: A slewing crane fixed on the deck for loading and unloading cargo. It has a turntable and a pitching boom, and can flexibly rotate and luff. Its boom, lifting mechanism, luffing mechanism, slewing mechanism and control room are all set on the turntable, with the fixed pillar as the axis, and can simultaneously operate the lifting, luffing and slewing mechanisms for loading and unloading operations.

•Anchor Boom: Move the traverse anchor forward to meet the requirements of traverse excavation of the reamer.

•Operating Cabin: The control system of the cutter suction dredger has introduced a number of technologies such as frequency conversion and electronics, and has adopted different selected equipment to achieve efficient operation functions.

•Spud: Special pencil piles for positioning and shifting dredgers.

•Output Pipe: Mud discharge pipe refers to the pipe used by dredging machinery such as (cutter suction) dredging vessels to transport mud. It is mostly made of plastic or steel pipes. Common perforated mud discharge pipes.
